Bob Cummings named to Advisory Team as Director of specialized M&A practice for Agribusiness

Spara Capital Partners Inc., an investment and merchant banking firm, is pleased to announce that Bob Cummings has joined Spara’s advisory team, as Managing Director of Agricultural Services.

Bob has many years of experience advising business owners primarily in the Agribusiness sector relating to operational, real estate and succession matters. Bob’s new role with Spara will be to develop a successful M&A and corporate finance advisory practice, targeting the Agricultural Business Sector in Canada. The joint-practice will focus on the acquisition and divestiture of private businesses that provide services, supply, distribution, and/or manufacturing to the agricultural industry, valued between $10M – $250M.

Before joining Spara, Bob had built a successful brokerage business within the agriculture industry. Prior to that, Bob worked as a farmer, feed mill owner, appraiser and broker. He also succeeded in sales and sales management for a major multinational company, where he was recognized as a sales leader in his field. Bob has appraised or sold numerous Agribusiness assets over the past 20 years across Canada, ranging from grain elevators to feed mills to processing plants.

Bob’s credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Science, Agriculture from the University of Guelph. He has also completed courses in Real Property Law, Mortgage Financing, Investment, Commercial & Industrial, Office Management, Real Estate Brokerage, and the Appraisal Institute of Canada’s urban and agricultural appraisal courses.
